Since 2005 Dutch-based Gnaw Their Tongues has been damaging the pleasure/pain receptors in the psyches of curious (possibly masochistic) listeners with a densely orchestrated sound as alienating, chaotic, debauched and sadistic as any to appear in recent memory. ‘All The Dread Magnificence Of Perversity’, released earlier this year on Burning World, holds psychological gravity and a tangible quality that, for music in this day and age, is frankly frightening.
