The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus

The most famous film best known for the death of Heath Ledger since The Dark Knight.  If it had been any other film maker than Terry Gilliam, or any other film for that matter, this would most likely have meant either a re-casting or abandoning altogether.  As it is, the surreal nature of Parnassus lends itself pretty nicely to some guest appearances from Depp, Law & Farrell. Who are we?

What are we?  Who are we?  As the general public, I mean.  I wasn't asking you reading this to individually tell me one-by-one; that would be too noisy.  It was a rhetorical question.   Read more »

Network - 1976

BAND OF THE DAY: NO FRIENDS

Summer is coming, it makes us wanna skate (actually, I value my bones so maybe not, but you get my drift), so this is a perfect band of the day. Sticking with the punk rock ethic the band have posted their new EP, 'Traditional Failures' for free download. Read more »

You may have noticed from reading the mag or my blog that I've got a massive wide-on for men in spandex, especially if they sound exactly like Razor or Angel Witch, or even WASP and Warrant. So Portrait, Armour, Ram - I want your babies. But Enforcer - fuuuuuck, that's my bag and they're only bloody coming to the UK aren't they. Read more »
